My Puppy is a Devil

So, it’s been about a month since I got Lyanna. While I love her to death, there are some things that Lyanna and I should work on…

  1. Biting. Well this one is quite obvious but her bites can be DEADLY! People don’t lie when they say Aussies have needle sharp teeth. Not to mention the fact that she loves to herd me. *sigh*
  2. Barking. We knew from the start that Lyanna was a vocal one, but JESUS can her barks be any more deafening and high pitched!! She barks when she wants to get out of her crate or playpen, she barks when she’s herding us, she barks when she wants to play, she barks for her food, ugh she even barks at smaller children when I take her to the park. As you can tell, she likes to speak.
  3. She is pushy! When she doesn’t get her way, much like a 2 year old, she throws a fit. When she wants to go home, she gets over-wired and attacks everything in sight. When she wants me to carry her, she attacks my legs and jumps up on me ferociously! When she wants attention, she howls, barks, and whines until my head hurts.
  4. She is wild. Lyanna loves to go crazy, especially before bedtime. She runs faster than me, so she’s like a little rocket zooming through the house. Boy does it tire me out trying to get her to sleep.

However, even with all of her flaws, I love her to death and would protect her with my life. She is so silly and sweet and I couldn’t ask for a better companion. She’s helped me to see life in a positive way, and she’s helped me to get out more (even if I only do it for her lol.)

Even with all the barks, scratches, bites, headaches, and messes, I love her. And I can’t wait to see her grow.

If you would like to see her grow as well, follow her Instagram!

Animal Testing: My Stance

What really is animal testing? Is it just putting mascara on bunnies? Or is it much more? What does animal testing do? Is it really necessary?

Animal testing is more horrifying than you think. Some things that they really do are force feeding, chemical exposure to toxic chemicals, skin injections, food and water deprivation, infliction of wounds, injuries, or damage, or prolonged periods of physical restraint.

If companies need to test their products on sentient beings, shouldn’t this say something about the untrustworthy and sketchy products that they use? If they have to test a product on another animal, shouldn’t that say something about how potentially dangerous that product could be?

After hearing about the true horrors of animal testing, it just saddens me to the core. The fact that humans do this for their own benefit is just sickening. These beings deserve life. These animals are capable of fear, pain, and most importantly, the desire to live. We are not so different from them. We all want to live. Why am I saying live? Because almost 99% of the time, the animal dies from the tortures, or they use them until they die. This is disgusting, and it needs to be illegal. Why does America make this legal, but it is illegal in the EU? I don’t understand. It’s a basic animal’s right to live, but why do we only care for dogs and cats? Why can’t we reach out to others?

“Every year in the U.S., over 25 million animals are used in biomedical experimentation, product and cosmetic testing, and science education. This includes—dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, pigs, sheep, monkeys, chimpanzees, and more.”

We need this to stop. We need to stop unnecessary killings, especially for our own benefit. We need to share this earth with other beings. We need more compassion. Take a stand against animal testing and buy cruelty free products!

Life on Other Planets

So, the question of the day is, do you believe in life on other planets? Do you believe that there is some sort of being, big or small, living beyond our galaxy, or even in our galaxy?

I do. Whether it’s just bacteria or beings twice our size, I believe that there HAS to be life on other planets. We can’t be the only ones living in the entire universe. That just sounds a little self-centered, IMO. I believe that there has to be at least some sort of being. Another question: should we try to find out? Well, that’s a difficult question to answer. Do I want to know? YES! Do I need to know? Probably not. Then again, it depends on what we find, or if we find anything.

I wonder, what if there are beings in another galaxy that are far more advanced than we are, and with a planet twice the size of Earth. I would love to discover something like that.

Something that could help us figure this out is if we find out if the Universe is finite or infinite. If it was infinite, or expanding, as the expanding Universe theory suggests, it would be almost impossible to figure out that it is infinite. If the Universe was finite, however, there could be a slight possibility. (Just guessing.) One day, us humans might be advanced enough to figure it out, or, the Universe might be so complex that we just never do. I think about this sometimes, and think and think until it just gets too confusing.

If the expanding Universe theory is true (and that the Universe started with the Big Bang theory and has been growing ever since,) I believe that it is undeniable that there is life on other planets.(Once again, just my thoughts.)

What do you think?
